What Is Pneumograph?

Pneumograph (Respiratory Sensor) is a polygraph instrumentation component. Rubber tubes placed around the examinee's chest (thoracic) and abdomen to measure respiratory activity during a polygraph test. Two pneumograph channels record breathing rate, depth, amplitude, and pattern. Respiratory suppression or changes in breathing pattern following relevant questions can indicate deception.
