A lie detector test in Ontario costs between CAD $1000 and CAD $1000 depending on location. All prices are all-inclusive — covering the booking fee, an examiner trained to APA & CPA standards, private office, pre-test assessment, full polygraph examination, and a detailed written report. Only a CAD $100 refundable deposit is required to book: refunded in full if we can’t book you, deducted from your total once your appointment is confirmed.

Admissibility in Ontario courts
Ontario courts follow the Supreme Court of Canada ruling in R. v. Béland (1987), which generally excludes polygraph results as evidence. However, polygraphs are extensively used by Ontario Provincial Police, Toronto Police Service, and other law enforcement agencies during investigations. Defence counsel routinely use polygraph results for case assessment and plea negotiations.
Workplace polygraph law
Ontario does not have specific legislation governing workplace polygraph use. The Ontario Human Rights Code and the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) provide the framework for employment-related testing. Ontario's Employment Standards Act does not address polygraph testing directly.
