Position Overview

As a Security Specialist (Polygraph Examiner), you will perform operational counterintelligence (CI), counterespionage (CE), and personnel security polygraph examinations. This role involves conducting complex polygraph examinations, including case file analysis, interviews, elicitation of information, and report writing. The position requires technical expertise and the ability to handle a wide range of non-routine situations.

Eligibility Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship: Required for all applicants.
  • Age: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Drug Testing: Subject to pre-employment and periodic drug testing.
  • Polygraph Examination: Subject to pre-employment and periodic polygraph examinations.

Where You Will Work

You will be part of the NRO’s Polygraph Management Branch (PMB), supporting the Personnel Security Division (PSD). This role is integral to the NRO’s mission of protecting its highly sensitive operating environment by ensuring the integrity of its workforce.
