About the Role

TechWise is seeking a skilled Polygraph Administrator to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Internal Affairs (IA), Credibility Assessment Division (CAD). This role involves administering polygraph examinations for the Personnel Security Division (PSD), ensuring the suitability of applicants for law enforcement positions within the nation’s largest law enforcement agency.

The Anti-Border Corruption Act of 2010 mandates polygraph examinations for all law enforcement applicants, underscoring the importance of this position in safeguarding national security.


Key Responsibilities

As a Polygraph Administrator, you will:

Pre-Test Preparations

  • Collect and review all applicable applicant documentation.
  • Conduct data analysis and pre-employment tests.
  • Perform applicant interviews in accordance with federal standards and the Policy and Reference Manual with Appendices from DACA.

Polygraph Examination and Interview

  • Administer polygraph tests following established protocols.
  • Record and review all applicable forms and obtain audio recordings as directed.
  • Document examination results accurately and thoroughly.

Post-Test Documentation

  • Prepare a complete and accurate Polygraph Examination Report within three (3) business days.
  • Submit reports to the designated Quality Control (QC) Manager.

Collaboration and Support

  • Assist CAD personnel in scheduling and finalizing polygraph examinations.
  • Provide support services, including collection and review of applicant background documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of examination results.

Qualifications

Required

  • Training from the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA) (formerly DCCA).
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in potentially confrontational environments daily.
  • Proficiency in interacting with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and expertise.
  • Experience with polygraph testing formats, including Counterintelligence scope and pre-employment exams.
  • Willingness to travel.

Desired

  • Five years of living abroad to gain cultural exposure.
  • Five years of experience in a technical field.
  • Tenacity, confidence, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to take/give directions.
