About the Role
TechWise, a professional services company headquartered in Colorado Springs, is recruiting for a Polygraph Administrator to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Internal Affairs (IA), Credibility Assessment Division (CAD). This division plays a vital role in the Personnel Security Division (PSD), which oversees vetting of law enforcement applicants.
The position supports the Anti-Border Corruption Act of 2010, which requires CBP law enforcement applicants to undergo a polygraph examination to ensure suitability for employment.
As a Polygraph Administrator, you will provide contractor support by administering polygraph examinations and credibility assessments for new and current law enforcement officer candidates. This role combines technical expertise with investigative responsibility, requiring a high level of integrity and commitment to national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Test: Collect and review applicant documentation; conduct pre-employment data analysis; perform applicant interviews in compliance with federal standards.
- Examination: Administer polygraph examinations and interviews; obtain audio recordings; document results; complete in-test and post-test procedures per guidelines.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit a Polygraph Examination Report within three (3) business days to the designated Quality Control Manager.
- Collaboration & Support: Assist CAD personnel with scheduling, conducting, and finalizing examinations; collect/manage background documentation; enter data into official systems.
Required Qualifications
- Training: Graduate of the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA).
- Clearance: Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Skills: Excellent written/oral communication; able to operate in confrontational environments; strong interpersonal skills; independent and team-oriented; analytical writing for accurate, defensible reports.
- Experience: Exposure to multiple testing formats, including counterintelligence scope and pre-employment exams.
- Other: Willingness to travel as required.
Desired Qualifications
- International Experience: At least five years living abroad.
- Professional Experience: At least five years in a technical field.
- Personal Attributes: Tenacity, confidence, maturity, and strong organizational skills to handle concurrent tasks.
